That question gets asked of me several times a month.
I hate answering questions about the best franchise opportunities.
Loaded
Talk about a loaded franchise question.
Anyway, here are some of my possible answers:
- McDonald’s
- Great Clips
- Dunkin’ Donuts
- Window Genie
- ServePro
- Subway
- Maid Brigade
- Ultragloss
- Motel 6
- JanPro
- MM
- Express Personnel
- Batteries Plus
- Hot Dog Palace
- Dogtopia
What do you think?
Are any of the 15 franchises I mentioned the best?
Why?
Or
Why not?

This One Is The Best
McDonald’s is the best franchise to own.
That’s right, The Franchise King®-that King of Franchises…just said that, “McDonald’s is the best franchise to own.”
Alert the media! Tell Oprah! Tell Ali Velshi.
Gas up the limo!
Tell The President! (Of McDonald’s)
IMOO
In my own opinion, McDonald’s is the best food franchise to own.
If:
- You can afford to invest over $1 million in a franchise
- You want to be in food service
Their systems are the best. They’re world-renowned. Their training is world-class.
And, I’ve never seen a McDonald’s franchise go out of business.

Do you think McDonald’s is the best franchise? (In your own opinion.)
Oh…I see. You think that Subway is the best one, huh? Why is that?
And you…your vote goes to Domino’s Pizza? Why?
My friend Ramon DeLeon feels the same way, I’m sure.
If I asked Steve Giordano what the best franchise business was, his answer would probably be TeamLogic IT.
I know the franchise that Dave Brewer, Dana Devereux, and other multi-unit franchisees would pick.
Do You See Where I’m Going?
I don’t really know what the best franchise to own is.
I know you’re disappointed. I’m sorry.
You would think that a real-live franchise expert like me would be able to easily answer this very popular franchise-related question. But, I can’t.
That’s because there isn’t really one answer.
Even if you were able to gather the 20 greatest minds in franchising today-in one room, you’d probably get 20 different answers to The Question.
That’s because there are so many ways to define “best.” There’s not just one thing. It could be the best ROI, the best franchise to work on a part-time basis, the best one to be a multi-unit owner…all sorts of things…some of them even being fact-based.
Now, throw some opinions into the mix.
Oh heck; this is going nowhere.
And that, my friends, is the point.
