More specifically, how are my services as a Franchise Ownership Advisor different than what franchise consultants, franchise brokers and franchise coaches do?

My approach-and the services I provide, differ significantly in several key ways:

  • Independence: I operate as an independent Franchise Ownership Advisor, because I don’t receive $20,000 brokerage commissions from franchisors for placing aspiring franchise owners into specific franchises. Instead, I’m compensated by people like you for my 24 years of franchise industry experience, and the knowledge and proven expertise that come with it. This allows me to provide unbiased advice focused solely on YOUR best interests.
  • Comprehensive franchise options: Unlike franchise brokers who typically work with a limited set of franchises (around 150-300) that pay commissions, I can guide my clients towards any of the 4,000 franchise opportunities available. In other words, it doesn’t matter to me which franchise opportunities you are interested in. My job is to educate and provide specific advice and tips to help you reach your goals.
  • Educational focus: I focus on teaching you to research, evaluate, and buy a franchise. If need be, I can show you how to match yourself to the right franchise opportunities for you to buy. It’s easy!
  • Customized consulting: As a Franchise Ownership Advisor, I tailor to your individual needs and goals. I also identify which stage you’re at in the franchise-buying process. That allows me to precisely tailor my consultations and approach.
  • Transparency: I believe in being 100% transparent with you. I’m upfront about the risks involved in franchising and I focus on helping you make an informed decision, even if it means advising against buying a specific franchise. I save my clients a lot of potential headaches and potentially large financial losses.

That’s because they always work on commission and may be incentivized to promote specific franchises from a limited portfolio, potentially compromising objectivity in the advice they provide (although there are some good franchise brokers around).
