What Do You Want From Your Life As A Franchisee?

what do you want from your life as a franchisee?

Before I get into the topic of what you want from your life as a franchise owner, I need to share my view of what’s happening in our world. It’s important.

And as you’ll see, it has everything to do with the question I posed in the title of this post.

Fast!

Things move so fast now. Everyone and everything moves at breakneck speed. Or so it seems.

It’s like our world has been displaced…lost. Maybe forever.

And you know why, right?

people texting

Yes. Those.

Our gadgets, and the many distractions they create on a moment-by-moment basis, have turned us into digital zombies.

Namely, we’re constantly jumping from one subject to another. Marketers, and even our friends and family members-are trying like heck to get our attention. Well, they’ve succeeded.

Now, like you, I use my Smartphone a lot. I read articles on it. I text with it. And I share cool things I find with my fans and followers on Twitter and Facebook.

A Franchise Opportunity Focused On Smartphones

But are Smartphones and our other electronic gadgets all good?

To find out, watch this 3-minute video:

My Point

The point I’m trying to make is this:

It’s important to disconnect once in awhile, so you can focus on some of the “why’s” in your life.

To put it another way, I don’t know how it is with you, but I know I can’t focus on the important stuff very well if I’m constantly getting interrupted by beeps, pings, and the like-from my gadgets. I need quiet time once in awhile. You?

With that in mind, let’s see if I can get you thinking.

Thinking about the things you want-the specific things you want, if you end up becoming the owner of a franchise business.

What Do You Want From Your Life As A Franchisee?

When you start looking at becoming your own boss through franchising, the reasons you’re doing it are top of mind.

For instance, maybe you were recently downsized, and you’ve decided that enough is enough with the corporate stuff.

Or, maybe you’ve always wanted to becoming the owner of a business-and you feel this is the right time to go after your dream.

But as things progress, as you start to get interested in specific franchise opportunities, it’s easy to forget some of your “why’s.”

That’s because you’re focused on the “how much” part of the equation. As in “how much money can I make a  franchisee?”

Find Out Here

In addition to “the money” part of owning a franchise, you’ll be thinking about other things. Like:

  • Possible locations
  • Legal stuff
  • Franchise loans
  • Your family

Along with many other things.

The Importance of Circling Back

When you’re smack-dab in the middle of exploring franchise opportunities, it’s easy to forget the following two things.

    1. Why you’re looking into buying a franchise
    2. What you want if you become the owner of a franchise

That’s why, it’s important, once you’re approaching decision day, to take time to circle back before you make a yes or no decision on a particular franchise.

To clarify, you need to get out of the weeds for a bit.

your Smartphone

In other words, you need to turn off your Smartphone for a day or two, and ask those around you to give you space.

Buying A Franchise Is Big

The decision to buy a franchise and become a franchisee is a big one.

After all, saying “yes” can (and will) affect your life (and your family’s) for years to come.

That’s why I want you to focus on the outcome.

  • What are you hoping franchise business ownership will do for you?
  • What things will you have because you’re a franchisee?
  • What will you be able to do?

Write your answers down, and be a specific as possible.

That way, when the time comes to sign your franchise agreement and send your money in, you’ll know why you’re doing it.

And you’ll have something (on paper) to reach for.

You Speak True Words
You speak true words that I knew from your book and our conversations before I began my quest. Do your research, FDD doesn’t tell the whole story, talk to franchisees and the money isn’t everything. Having taken all this into consideration I found my franchise family and am more than happy with it. "
