According to Rob Goggins, vice president of franchise development for Minnesota based Great Clips, they have experienced 20 straight quarters of same store sales growth. Quite an accomplishment in a rocky economy.
“When we promote our franchise brand as recession-resistant, we can back it up” Goggins said.
So, who is a great franchisee for this* 2700+ unit chain?
“Our typical franchisee invests in Great Clips in order to transition out of corporate America. The business model allows individuals to keep their day jobs while building their salon businesses on the side,” said Goggins. “Successful franchisees usually come from the middle- and upper-level executive ranks of industry. They possess strong management, leadership, communications and people skills. And, they don’t cut hair. They are CEOs of their Great Clips, managing people and expanding their businesses.”
