Free Franchise Tips For New Franchisees

Most of the articles I write here are focused on helping people who are “thinking” of becoming franchise owners-franchisees. I’m told they’re useful.

But, there’s a whole other segment of people that could use some tips and advice regarding franchise ownership: New franchisees.

New franchisees need advice, too-more than ever. That’s because the small business landscape is getting a lot more competitive. All small business owners are trying like heck to get attention from prospective customers and future clients. It’s quite a challenge in today’s noisy, noisy world. Information overload is a real problem.

On that note, I’d like to offer a few tips for new franchise owners. Maybe I can help them improve their chances of success.

Free Franchise Tips For New Franchisees

The training you receive from your franchisor before you open for business sets the stage for how things will go for you as a new franchisee. The formal, face-to-face training you get will have the biggest impact on your everyday business activities. If the training is phenomenal-and thorough, you’ll feel very confident when you first open the doors of your new franchise business.

Free Franchise Tip: Focus (while you’re in training) like a Red-Tailed Hawk that just spotted a field mouse scurrying around on a farmers field from 1500 feet in the air.

Franchise Tip #2: Be enthusiastic from day one.

Remember the enthusiasm you had when you were first starting looking into becoming the owner of a franchise? Find a way to tap into it on a daily basis.

Enthusiasm is contagious…your customers/clients will feel it. Your revenue will increase if you remain enthusiastic and positive.

And, don’t let your enthusiasm leave you when you’re not working…when you’re not running your franchise business. You need to be enthusiastic when you’re out and about, especially if you make the wise choice of getting involved in local business groups and local business events.

One more thing: If you’re lucky enough to have a super-enthusiastic and seriously-positive franchisor like Ric Nonelle, it will rub off on you.

You Speak True Words
You speak true words that I knew from your book and our conversations before I began my quest. Do your research, FDD doesn’t tell the whole story, talk to franchisees and the money isn’t everything. Having taken all this into consideration I found my franchise family and am more than happy with it. "
