Why The Reason You Want To Own A Franchise Can’t Be Put Into Words

reason you want to own a franchise

Not everything has a name. Some things lead us into a realm beyond words.”

-Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

You only think you know the reason why you want to own a franchise.

To show you what I mean, take a look at the recent conversation I had with a client.

“Donald…do you know why you want to own a franchise?”

For sure, Joel! I want more control of my life.”

“I bet you want more freedom, too.”

That’s right. I do want more freedom.”

“Any other reasons?”

Of course. I have wanted to be my own boss for years. I think now’s the time.”

“Okay. A lot of people tell me that. That’s good.”

I want to create some wealth, too.”

“Great. Anything else? Do you have any other reason for wanting to own a franchise?”

Yes, Joel. I really need to feel like I accomplished something. If I can successfully grow a business…my own business, that would be a great accomplishment.”

“Fantastic Donald. Those are good reasons for wanting to own a franchise-for sure. Let’s see if I can help you become the owner of a winning franchise business.”

5 Owning A Franchise Words

I heard 5 words (from Donald) having to do with his desire to own a franchise.

They are:

1. Control.

2. Freedom.

3. Be my own boss.

4. Create some wealth.

5. Accomplishment.

Those are great words. They accurately describe the reasons why most of my clients want to own a business. But there’s more. And words just don’t cut it.

The Reason Why Words Don’t Cut It

In reality, regardless of the words you use to describe why you want to own a franchise business-or any type of business, it’s really about how you’re going to feel when you’re the Owner.
