For Franchisees;
Don't be shy. Reach out and call other franchisees that may have an answer for some issues you're having. For instance, maybe you have gone through 3 different office managers in 6 months time, and don't know where else you should be trying to recruit one. Is it possible that some other franchisees have struggled with the same thing, and may know where you should be looking?

A gentle tip from The Franchise King®:
Do not buy a franchise until you know EXACTLY how to do thorough research.

Kate,
Thank you so much for reading my post, and for
your insight!

Joe,
I agree with you that franchisee peers can be a valuable source of help and new ideas, so it’s often worth reaching out for advice. I’d like to add that when seeking advice, we should include people who are brave enough to challenge us to address a problem at its roots.
Example: In the situation you give, a question that immediately comes to mind is “How have my hiring , training, or management practices affected my ability to retain a person in this role?”.
This type of advice may not be the easiest to hear and may take a little more time to act on, but the dividends can be great.
Hope you have a great start to 2010.
