I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but Franchise Direct (a long-time strategic partner of mine), prominently features a list of Business Opportunities on their popular website. And it’s constantly being updated.

It’s important to realize that a “Business Opportunity” is a lot different from a franchise opportunity. A business opportunity is more of a “no rules” type business model. (When I was a franchise broker, a business opportunity seller-and actually the CEO of the Business Opportunity company, told us to tell our candidates that his business was a business with ‘no rules and no royalties.’)

In addition to the “no rules” part, there’s not as much paperwork for you to go through and sign.
Of course there are some downsides to owning one.
Like the fact that it’s more challenging to find and talk with owners. Why?
Because unlike a franchise business, the owners all have different names for their businesses.
But when you’re looking at franchise businesses, you’ll have easy access the franchisee contact information. That makes it less challenging to get the facts you need about the franchises you’re interested in learning more about.

That said, from what I’ve been able to gather, your role as an owner would be to call on local restaurants and offer them a variety of different technology tools to help them with things like online ordering, accepting credit card payments, online advertising and more.
This Business Opportunity features a licensing program with a low one-time upfront fee as well as a monthly fee.
Finally, you’ll need to be outgoing, and good at sales and networking.
