Becoming The Publisher/A Lofty Goal?

When one thinks about franchises to purchase, a magazine publishing one probably doesn’t come to mind…

"The Home Improver" was this magazine’s original name, having it’s roots in Ft. Meyers, Florida. The year 2002 was it’s first foray into the publishing world, and two issues later, the name was changed to simply, TheHomeMag.

TheHomeMag features beautiful pictures of homes-views from the inside and outside, that can inspire one to ..well…think about doing some home improvements. So if one were to publish a magazine in their own city, and get advertisers to "buy in" to the idea, then one could possibly have a success on their hands. That is the idea, and why TheHomeMag decided to start franchising it’s concept in 2006. By December of 2007, there were already 21 magazines being published in nine states!

Do you think people will continue to upgrade their homes? Interiors? Exteriors? Basements? If so, do you think that there are large numbers of interior designers, furniture stores, and tradespeople that may be looking for a special, and effective place to market their products and services? In print and online?

Did you ever think of becoming a publisher? TheHomeMag may be your ticket……….Their goal of 20 million households receiving the magazine by the year 2010 seems rather lofty, huh? Or..maybe not.
