Are you a franchisee? Is your franchise business home-based?
Wanna make it even better? (Your definition of better.)
I have an idea; hang out with/get to know some other, like-minded small business owners. Ones that you could learn from, and share ideas with.
*Join Kitchen Table Companies…
Kitchen Table Companies is where Joe Sorge, a small business owner himself, hangs out.
He’s not alone, though.
My friend, Chris Brogan is involved with Kitchen Table Companies, too. As a matter of fact, he’s the founder.
From the KTC website;
“Kitchen Table Companies is an online education community, dedicated to helping small business owners and entrepreneurs to grow their capabilities. We provide three ways to learn: through a six week educational course, through the purchase of an ebook, and through a membership community of peers and educators in the small business space.”

As a franchisee, there are certainly other franchisees that you can reach out to when you have isssues/problems. In most cases, you’ll get the help you need.
The team at franchise headquarters should be there for you, too.
But sometimes it’s not enough.
- Maybe you’d like to take your business to the next level, but are out of ideas to get there.
- Maybe the franchisor was recently bought out, and you don’t like the “new direction.”
- Maybe you’re thinking of selling your business, and are looking for ideas on what to do next.
This could be the place for you.
Chris says that there are three ways to see yourself as a kitchen table company:
- You started your company at the kitchen table one day.
- You still run your company from the kitchen table.
- You love your business, but want to get home in time for dinner.
Is it starting to make a little more sense, now?
Read Chris Brogan’s post that goes into more detail about Kitchen Table Companies, including the special promotion that’s happening the entire month of February.
