Iraq war veteran Stephen Young, certainly doesn't think he's rolling the franchise dice. He just invested in a 7-Eleven franchise. The location; Lakeland, Florida.
Young saved 10% off the franchise fee because of 7-Eleven's Military Discount program that was started by 7-Eleven president and CEO Joe DePinto, who is himself a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served as an officer in the U.S. Army.
Young is a war veteran who served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Outside of the military, his only work experience was at a grocery store while growing up in Fernandina Beach. He returned to that type of work after the Marines to help support his wife and child, as well as a second one on the way.
The entire franchise community wishes you the best of luck, Stephen!
David,
Thanks a lot for stopping by. (Again!)
He should rock!

I wish him luck as well and I also believe that his experience in the grocery industry will proove to be very valuable to this marine. I also have been told that the support is quite good from 7-11 which should help him as well.
Todd,
I have a feeling that THIS Marine will kick some serious butt with his revenue numbers!

I wish him luck. Given his experience in working at a grocery store leads me to believe he understands whats its like to work in a convenience store. I’ll be he does well with it.
