Since the pandemic began rearing it’s ugly head, interest in franchise opportunities in the home-based franchise opportunity space has increased-a lot.

As I noted here, “Location, Location, Location,” has all of a sudden become less important compared to the past 50 years.

On the positive side, if you’re looking to buy a franchise that requires a physical presence, opportunities to secure commercial space at more reasonable pricea (pre-pandemic) will start to appear, soon. Make sure you watch the trends.

On Home-Based Franchises

Home-based franchises have been popular for a long time.

First off, startup costs are lower than businesses that require a leased space.

Secondly, if you own a home-based business, your schedule tends to lean towards “flexible.” That’s attractive to lots of us.

Finally, technology* is enabling franchise businesses of all types to have the ability to do business from home.

*I think we tend to forget the people behind the technology.

I’m referring to the brilliant folks who come up with the ideas, write the code, do the testing, and enable us to thrive in an ever-changing business landscape. So here’s to them!
