The biggest news, and it’s close to my heart because it affects our military veterans, has to do with Amazon.com.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has just vowed to hire 25,000 veterans and spouses of active-duty military personnel over the next five years. This is huge! It’s great to see a U.S. company step up. Returning military veterans (and their spouses) are having a hard time finding employment. Amazon deserves our applause.
Signs Now is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The sign franchise was founded in 1986, and is an industry pioneer. 30 years is a long time to be in business…especially a business that’s changing so fast thanks to the digital revolution.
A college student from Northwest Nazarene University just won a Cherry Berry Self-Serve Yogurt Bar franchise business. His business plan was judged the best out of the 3 that were presented as part of this contest.
