That’s it. That’s the International Standard Book Number for my book.
My book. 261 pages of information on how to become the owner of a franchise business. And it’s sitting somewhere in this cute, little building;
The Library of Congress
Did you know that The Library of Congress is the largest library in the world, with more than 147 million items on approximately 838 miles of bookshelves. The collections include more than 33 million books and other print materials, 3 million recordings, 12.5 million photographs, 5.4 million maps, 6 million pieces of sheet music and 64.5 million manuscripts.

It’s a Bit Surreal
When I first started writing about franchising, I really had no idea where it was going to take me. I started one of the first-ever blogs that focused on becoming a franchise owner. People like Anita Campbell noticed what I was doing, and wanted what I had. (Amazing.)
(If you buy my book, and look in the acknowledgments, you’ll see how much Anita means to me.)
This entire process, from receiving The Email from Wiley Publishing, to negotiating my advance, to writing like crazy for almost 5 months…to actually seeing and touching my own hardcover book, has been an amazing experience.
And, most of it’s not because of me. Most of it’s because of you. You’ve supported me. You’ve supported my mission.
This one;
To make franchising more transparent by aggressively informing all who wish to become franchise owners that there’s definitely risk involved, and then teaching them how to lower it through articles, ebooks, published books, podcasts and my top-notch advisory services. I’m out to create a brand-new generation of super-successful franchisees! At the same time, I’m gently (sometimes) encouraging franchisors to only choose the best of the best franchise candidates, thereby increasing their chances of mutual success, which in turn, will lower the failure rates in franchising.
Seeing my book on bookstore shelves…. seeing pictures of it that lots of you have posted on Twitter and Facebook…it’s really overwhelming.
It’s just starting to hit me.
Thanks for your faith in me.
I just want to change the franchise world.
