The dirty soda beverage franchise category just got bigger in Florida.

Swig, the brand that invented the “dirty soda” concept, has signed a 25-unit franchise deal covering Port St. Lucie, Palm Beach, and Stuart. The first location is expected to open by the end of 2026.

Who’s Behind the Swig Franchises Deal?

The franchisee group is led by brothers James and Spiro Laskaris and business partner Stephen Attard. These are not first-time operators.

James entered franchising in 2001 with Dunkin’. The group now runs 80 Dunkin’ locations and 11 Baskin-Robbins restaurants. They also operate multiple Zaxby’s and Jimmy John’s units. Spiro built his own Greek concept, Spiro’s Taverna, with seven Florida locations.

That’s serious operational depth.

What is Swig?

Swig was founded in 2010 in St. George, Utah. It started as a single drive-thru. Today it has more than 150 locations across 16 states.

The concept is built around highly customizable drinks. Think flavored sodas with add-ins, specialty lemonades, and energy drinks. The brand calls its customer experience “Daymaking.” Small moments. Big loyalty.
