“I feel Joel’s advice was invaluable and I would highly recommend him for anyone thinking about becoming a franchise owner. I feel with Joel you are getting objective advice as opposed to the bias you may find with a franchise broker and certainly with the franchise representative. As I continue the due diligence process it is nice to know that I can count on Joel for further consultation if needed.”

Important: You’re Not Buying A Franchise
You’re buying what owning a franchise business can do for you.
Learn How To Find The Most Profitable Franchise Opportunities
I’m The Franchise King®, Joel Libava
In 2000, I was managing an automobile franchise. And then I wasn’t. I was downsized. Canned. Launched. Fired. I was also scared. I didn’t know what I was going to do. But, thanks to my dad, I found something.
What I Found
My dad introduced me to franchise brokerage. I worked with my dad as a franchise broker for several years. We were actually franchisees of a large franchise brokerage firm.
In addition, I worked with people just like you..people who were looking to be their own boss though franchise ownership. Essentially I was a matchmaker. I helped a lot of people become franchise owners. I sold lots of franchises.
Then, things started changing. The franchise brokerage was purchased by several franchisees who I was not on board with. And, my dad got diagnosed with lung cancer-which really sucked. I had some choices to make. I had to decide whether or not to stay on board as a franchisee.
The Decision
I decided to leave the franchise organization and strike out on my own.
A couple of years later, I decided to go a different direction. I wasn’t “feeling it” anymore. Plus-and this is important, some of the people I had helped get in business a few years earlier were going out of business. It made me feel like crap-even though it wasn’t my fault. But, some of them lost a lot of money. I didn’t want to see that happen again. So, here I am.

I Don’t Sell Franchises
I hope you’re not disappointed, but I’m not a franchise salesperson. Heck-I’m not a franchise “coach” or a franchise broker or a franchise “consultant, either.” I don’t offer “Free Help Finding The Right Franchise.” No sir. I advise. I guide. I’m paid for my expertise and my real world experience in franchising.
To put it another way, if you’re looking for unbiased franchise advice (unbiased because I’m not trying to match you up to a particular franchise-or even try to sell you one), check out my Franchise Success Packages so we can work on reaching your dream.
Important: If you’re not at that point yet, no problem. When you are, contact me. In the meantime, there are plenty of other ways I can help you, as you’ll see below.

One More Thing
If you’re here for another reason, maybe something commercially-related, here’s the deal in very-plain English:
- If you want me to become an affiliate for your product or service, I’m not interested unless your deal is front-loaded.
- If you’re trying to get me to link to a page of yours-for payment, I’m not interested.
- If you’re a PR company wanting me to write a story about your client, I may. But, not for free.
- If you’d like to franchise your business, great….but I don’t do that type of work. But, I can refer you to a great franchise development company.
To that end, we’re all busy. I’m trying to save both of us some time.
“Joel did a fantastic job by first taking the time to understand our needs & interests and then using that perspective to give us expert advice. In the vast world of franchise ideas it’s great to have Joel’s expertise as a guide.”
