Because the franchise industry will be affected by the outcome of the 2008 election. Since the Republican nomination seems to be a lock, lots of Americans are watching the Clinton-Obama battle….
The Franchise King Blog is not a political blog. It is a blog that is focused on the franchise industry, and small business. Having said that, I do feel that it is important to write a couple of posts dedicated to the 2008 Presidential Election. Small Business holds 33% of the entire US vote, so it is a powerful block that the candidates want to keep happy. There was very little about small business specifically, last night, but I am hoping we will hear more, from all involved.
George Nemeth and Gloria Ferris, both of Meet The Bloggers, a cutting edge political blogging, podcasting, and interviewing gig out of Northeast Ohio, put this interesting LiveBlogging event on with the cooperation of WKYC-TV, the NBC affiliate responsible for getting the debate in Cleveland.. The WKYC News Director, Rita Andolsen approached NBC corporate a while back, and offered the first class WKYC broadcasting facility up. Cleveland State University also really stepped up, and Rita shared with all of us Bloggers that CSU "exceeded expectations in all respects", during the event set-up. You can hear more about how NBC got the debate, as opposed to CNN, who also wanted to do it, on the Meet The Bloggers website, soon.
It was an honor to be involved in this cutting edge LiveBlogging event during the Cleveland 2008 Democratic Presidential Debate, and this blogger will always remember it.
