It's Research Time!
You have searched far and wide for the perfect franchise ownership opportunity. You have searched franchise directories, cruised around the internet, and maybe even worked with a franchise consultant. What is the next step?
The next step is to slow down! Take a break for a couple of days. Let your mind rest a little. It is quite energizing to learn about the different opportunities out there. For some, it is also filled with relief. I hear this a lot, as a franchise consultant:
"Maybe I won't have to work for anyone else. Maybe I can attempt to create some wealth for me, and my family instead of others. Maybe I will be able to create some equity!"
More reasons people go into businesses of their own.
If you have gone this far, please don't skimp on the most important part of the process.
I wrote an eBook titled, "The Essential Steps To Researching A Franchise Opportunity," last year.
Anita Campbell, of the award winning website, Small Business Trends, says this about my eBook:
"The beauty of this book is that Joel breaks down the process of
researching a specific franchise opportunity into 10 steps. He also
gives you a road map explaining what to do during each step of the
For instance, in one of the steps, he recommends interviewing
existing franchisees as part of your due diligence and he gives you a
4-page list of questions to ask them.
The real benefit to this book is that Joel has done half the work for you and gives you the benefit of years of his experience."
If you are at the stage where you are about to do your research on a franchise opportunity, or you are in the process of looking, save yourself some time, and more importantly, some future headaches, and check out my eBook.
