I don't know about you, but in my business, and at home, I am trying to find cracks.

I am looking for those almost invisible places that money just seems to slip through. I am the guy that makes sure that the PC's are off, if they are not going to be in use for a couple of hours, the one who turns off lights that just don't need to be on, and lately, I am the guy who unplugs small appliances around my house, after I'm done with them.

John L. Mariotti, {Former President of Huffy Bicycles} just wrote a wonderful article over at Small Business Trends suggesting that there are a lot more ways to save money than you may think, both at home, and at your office. {Or a home office!}

1. STOP BUYING “STUFF”: If you don’t need something,
don’t buy it-no matter how great the deal is. There’s no right price
for something you don’t really need. Learn the typical promotional
cycles-clearance sales in January (before the retailers’ fiscal year
end), for example. Buy office products when the ones you need are on
sale-plan ahead. Buy non-perishable holiday supplies after the holiday,
and save money next year.
