Is owning a business part of your short term or long term career strategy? Is entrepreneurship a career path that you would like to learn more about? Are you weighing the merits of owning your own business, or maybe purchasing a franchise? If you answered "yes" to any pf these questions, you’ll want to attend the May 12th meeting of Transitions at LCCC.

On  May 12th , a panel of experts will provide advice on starting and your own business.
They will provide real world advice on what it takes to develop and grow a successful business
and discuss what resources are available to guarantee success.  The panel will include:
  • Cliff Reynolds, the Director of the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise (GLIDE), a facility that provides support for emerging businesses with a focus on technology-based enterprises.
  • Dennis Cocco, Associate Director at GLIDE. Dennis is responsible for developing
    marketing and technology-based business strategies.
    Dennis’ responsibilities include
    identifying and recruiting start-up companies to locate within GLIDE.
  • Joel Libava, President, Franchise Selection Specialists Inc. Joel brings real world franchise industry experience to his clients, coming from a franchise management background in the automobile and restaurant/hospitality industries. Crain’s Cleveland Business calls him "The Local Franchising Guru."

Transitions meetings
feature short seminars on topics relevant to a successful job search, the sharing of job leads and
support, and networking contacts. The group
meets the second and fourth Monday of each month in Room
CC 228 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
