You want to have a low overhead franchise. In these tough economic times, it certainly makes sense. Or does it? Could a home based franchise of your own provide that Pot O' Gold?
Most of the time, when I do seminars and classes on franchising, questions are asked concerning home based businesses. Home based businesses cover a broad scope of different business models. Some are legit, most are not. Things like:
- "Stuff Envelopes For Hundred's Of Dollars A Day" -Not
- "Make Money On The Internet" -Probably not
- "Make And Sell Your Own Line Of Jewelery"-Maybe
Folks, the "businesses" above are not franchises! They are either MLM junk, or "Biz Opps" {Think vending machines, when thinking of what a Biz Opp is. Biz opp is short for Business Opportunity, which are regulated much differently than franchise are. Some are actually pretty good.}
Please don't ask me to define MLM. I will start turning Green. I hate MLM.
Anyway, investing in a home based business may not be what you think it it is. Read what it may consist of, here.
