I just found this story…a good franchise business news story-online. It’s the first I heard of it, and felt it was worth sharing. Maybe you’ll be motivated to take a shot at becoming a franchise owner yourself after reading it.

Tutor Doctor® Franchise Owner Secures $4 Million Deal
Before I share the news about a huge deal for one Tutor Doctor franchisee, I thought you should learn a little about him.
Him, is Bob Rosedale, the owner…the franchisee of Tutor Doctor® Boise. And, he has quite a background. A military background.
Bob retired from the U.S. Air Force (USAF) after a 26-year career of distinguished service in a variety of assignments both in the U.S. and abroad. He holds the rating of Command Pilot and served as the United States Defense Attache at the U.S. Embassy, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. That was followed by a second diplomatic tour, this time as the Air Attache assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, Spain.
Bob has a thriving franchise business. His franchise-Tutor Doctor Boise, offers help in any subject to students of all ages, including adults going back to school. He employs more than 100 tutors; they include active and retired school principals, teachers, engineers, business professionals, veterans and other professionals with experience working with students.

The Deal
From a Press Release:
As a result of Bob Rosedale’s dedication to the veteran community and collaboration with the Tutor Doctor Operations Team, his Boise-based franchise business recently secured a $4.66 million five-year award through the U.S. Veterans Administration (VA) to provide tutoring services to military veterans as part of the Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation Program.
Pretty impressive. There’s more.
Tutor Doctor was the only franchise company awarded the opportunity to provide services across the western region of the United States, which includes thirteen states ranging from Colorado to Hawaii and Alaska. The company’s strong presence in the region, as well as its ability to recruit, train and retain the best tutors and trainers with specialized skills, were primary factors in the VA’s decision to partner with the private tutoring leader. Rosedale will lead the regional Tutor Doctor team to ensure all veterans are receiving professional and high-quality training.
That’s a big deal.
A huge deal.
Well-deserved, from what I can tell.
Congratulations, Bob!
