Are You Thinking Of Buying A Frozen Yogurt Franchise?

frozen yogurt franchises

Frozen yogurt franchises are hot. Current offerings in the space seem to be doing well, and there seems to be an endless supply of “Newfrozen yogurt concepts offering franchises as of this writing.

It’s worrisome to me, but hey; I don’t know anything about hot franchise sectors getting cold.

And don’t forget, there’s that “entrepreneurial” part.

Wanted: Creative Franchise Owners

Really?

Do you think that owning and operating a frozen yogurt franchise will involve some real entrepreneurial trailblazing? Do you really think that there are going to be a lot of opportunities to be creative?

How?

Now, I don’t want you to think that I’m slamming the frozen yogurt sector of franchising. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with investing in a frozen yogurt franchise – as long as it matches exactly what you want in a business, and why you want to be in business for yourself. What is wrong is how some franchises…not just food franchises, are being peddled. Franchise marketing departments know that potential franchise owners are attracted to the “E” word — Entrepreneur. This is no doubt a powerful term – one that evokes visions of multi-million dollar homes overlooking Malibu Beach, 100 foot yachts, and indoor/outdoor swimming pools.

Except that you’re not really the entrepreneur.

The person that came up with the concept is the entrepreneur.

Please don’t forget that, as you search for that perfect franchise to buy.

Here’s a list of frozen yogurt franchises to check out.

    Hi Joel,
I wonder if you can really say that franchise owners aren’t entrepreneurs or whether it would be better to say that they aren’t the same kind of entrepreneurs as those who dreamed up the franchise. I think perhaps it depends upon the kind of freedom a particular franchise agreement offers. Or am I wrong here?

      Hi Heather,

      They’re not, “Pure” entrepreneurs.

How that, form a non-usually-politically-correct, guy?
